Dear Fellow deviants,

I am creating this journal to inform you of some places that you can go if you are wanting to boycott, abandon ship, or have a back up place while deviantART goes downhill. One of these places my small little army has started to move to and I have already gotten the hang on the site since it has the feel of the old deviantART we all know and love with somethings that make it unique. So, instead of boring you guys, take a look at that following:

  1. WeasylWeasyl is a social gallery website designed for artists, writers, musicians, and more to share their work with other artists and fans. They seek to bring the creative world together in one easy to use, friendly, community website. (This site has a very strict art thief policy along with cyberbully and harassment policy. This is the site where me and some of my army has started to create as our backup place. I know of some people that have totally made the move to this site.)
  2. WyspWysp is a place for creatives who want to grow ever bigger and better.
A place for people like you.

Contrarily to most other art websites, Wysp is not about showcase.
Wysp is about practice and progress.

It features both a social network for sharing your art and giving or receiving advice, and an innovative learning tool to better your skills.

(This site I found out about from Nny-girl2. Here and her friends have moved that and like Weasyl, they have a very strict art thief, cyberbullying, and harassment policy.)
  3. Tumblr

Tumblr lets you effortlessly share anything.

Post text, photos, quotes, links, music, and videos from your browser, phone, desktop, email or wherever you happen to be. You can customize everything, from colors to your theme's HTML. (This place has a lose policy when it comes to art thief, cyberbullying, and harassment, but it is still a place where you can upload your artwork at.)

  4. Instagram: Instagram is a fun and quirky way to share your life with friends through a series of pictures. Snap a photo with your mobile phone, then choose a filter to transform the image into a memory to keep around forever. We're building Instagram to allow you to experience moments in your friends' lives through pictures as they happen. We imagine a world more connected through photos. (This place is for those that love to share photos they take on their cell phones of everyday life. From what I saw last year though, they do not have a very strict art thief policy and do not handle cyberbullying or harassment cases all that well.)

  5. artWEENARTWEEN is a social network who invites all actors of the art world to exchange, discover, admire & express themselves around their common passion ART

ARTWEEN will introduce you to an artistic cyber travel, visiting an artist studio at Beijing, strolling into galleries in Berlin just before enjoying a flute of champagne in a NY museum.

It doesn't matter if you're addicted to primitive art, obsessed by contemporary art or have a keen interest in the Renaissance. Artists, Galleries, Museums, Foundations, Students, Amateurs, create your page, develop your network and imagine your experience. Join the tribe you desire! (I am really unsure about there art thief policy since it is so confusing to read. @.@ I also have no clue about their cyberbullying or harassment policy.)

  6. Toyhouse: The site's still in testing and under construction right now, thank you for your patience! Invite alpha was intended to be fairly casual and close-knit, so a lot of the site's still kind of... Well, unprofessional. We were hoping that everyone who joined in alpha would take part in developing and growing the site, so your suggestions mean a lot to us. Please don't feel inhibited about posting on the suggestions forum if any ideas come up! (This site was suggested by FluffyLemonCake on 8/15/2015 at 1:29 EST. It is currently in alpha, so I do not know anything about this site, so go ask FLC about it.)

  7. FurAffinityFur Affinity, also known as FA, is the furry fandom's largest online community, focusing on the promotion of art, music and stories.

The site was created in 2005 by Alkora as an alternative to various art community sites such as SheezyArt and deviantART, distinguished by allowing artistic freedom of expression regardless of content rating. It is led by Dragoneer. (This site was suggested by Obsidian-Prince 8/15/2015 at 1:43 EST. This is a furry site, but it does have plenty of non-furry art as well.)

  8. ArtStationClick here to read about ArtStation since they have to much for me to copy and paste. XD. (This site was suggested by Nny-girl2 8/15/2015 at 3:34 EST. This one gives you a better chance at being discovered, you can even apply for a job online there, coming with your own website that you manage and everything.)

All my comment are in Bold and Italic for you guys to read.

If you guys have any art social media sites that needed to be add, just let me know and I will add them. ^^

Also, while I am at it.

Dear spyed, Heidi, and other current staff members of deviantART,

The reason why I am doing this journal and my Enlightenment on dA, despite having called this site home for over 8 years is because I see this site going downhill as long as you guys hide the truth as to why you have done what you have with the Premium Membership, why you took the new price out of your automatic pay members without giving them a warning or an option to op out of the new amount. Also, just doing that copy and paste message that Maddy posted on a journal is not helping since it is just making us made that we are being kept in the dark. I have pointed out that $5 for a cup of coffee is what it cost in California, but in the state I am in a cup of coffee cost less than the old Premium Membership price. I can even get my favourite type of coffee called a Mocha Frappuccino from Starbucks for under $4 in my state. You also have to factor in that coffee cost different amounts depending on each state in the United States, each country, and depending on each restaurant. I also know in some places of California where coffee is cheaper then where I am at. -_- What I am getting to with this, is your argument about the new amount being as much a moderately price cup of coffee is not correct.

This journal I am posting is so that other members of deviantART know there is other sites like this one out there they they can go to if they do not like what the staff on here is doing which the minority of us do not. I know of people that have either just deleted their account or abandon their account because they cannot stand what deviantART has become, but they left thinking they had no where else to go to, so they may never have another site they can call home. I want to say this, Weasyl reminds me of the old deviantART before the rebranding or even before deviantART closed the deviantART Gear Shop, but one they have going for them is that some of the perks you get as a Premium Member, I say Premium Member because I refuse to call myself a Core Member, on here you get as a non-paid member on it. They also have other perks that deviantART never had that you get as a normal member.

Now, before things get worst and deviantART loses all of it's current members and misses out on getting new members, tell us the real reason why you guys wanted to screw up a good thing you had going by what you did with Premium Membership, why you screwed you automatic paid members, and why you did such a price jump over night. You owe all of us members that much of information. Especially those that have been by your side since the beginning and that have been here and poured every bit of their bloody life into deviantART to help out when fellow deviants needed help when the staff members fall short.

I hope you know that it is not just you current staff that are being looked to for answers as to why this has happened. Your former staff and your members that have been here for years are also being looked to because we always had your back when it came to things like updates, features that were release, but fall short of plan, and so on. I use to be able to come on deviantART and answer a fellow deviants concern or problem on my own or link them to a staff member I knew would help them, but due to resent changes I do not know how to answer these questions and nor do I know who to send these people to to get their questions answer. All I can do now and tell them to go to the FAQ if I think it is something that can be answered their or tell them to send int a report if it is something like them having issues with their profile, but even that does not work when it takes so long to get a response from you guys and the fact that it does not show up in our notifications anymore when a staff has responded screws your members out of actually getting something fix.

spyed, Heidi, or any staff member that may read this, please, give us an honest answer as to why this has happened and do not even give me this copy and paste answer: "
In our 15 year history, countless artists have grown up on DeviantArt and been nurtured, tutored, and challenged by our unique community. Every day, tens of thousands of artists have their art discovered on DeviantArt by millions of people around the world. This is what the community stands for, what runs through our veins, and what gets us all up in the morning.

Some deviants help the community simply by using the site - donating their time and energy to supporting their fellow artists. But some want to do more. Core Membership is for those who have the desire and ability to support the DeviantArt community in a more direct way. Core Deviants give us the means to push forward, improve, grow and advance the art and the artists of DeviantArt.

We call it Core because they sustain us at the core. They deserve and receive recognition and thanks from the whole community.

Regarding the price, the monthly rate for a Premium Membership was $4.95, which has been increased for Core to an effective $5.00 per month rate when you purchase a three-month Core membership at $15.00. Discounts were previously available for three month and annual pre-paid Premium Memberships but are now replaced with only an annual discount for a Core Membership available at $50.00. The membership price has not changed for years. $5.00 a month is less than the cost of a moderately priced coffee drink.

Thanks!
So and So" because that is not helping anyone. Especially someone like me that has always helped this community. This just makes me feel like the 8 years I put into this site means nothing and I swear if I see this copy and paste response again, I will not be as nice as I was to Maddy in a comment on Against CORE! that you can get to here: comments.deviantart.com/1/5512…

If any of the staff delete/hide my comment, I will lose all hope on deviantART since you guys will being taking away my First Amendment Right as a US citizen which deviantART is base out of the same country. While I am at it, everyone that post on this site is protect under the First Amendment Right even if they are not a US citizen because this is a US run company. Yes, I know my right as a citizen and I know the right for those that post stuff on a US run website.

First Amendment Right: "
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

This means I have the following rights which are the US basic liberties:
freedom of religion, speech, press, petition, and assembly. As Patrick Henry once said "Give me liberty or give me death." From what I have seen lately on deviantART, a bunch of Anti-Core Supports are getting suspended when they stand up for what they believe in, but that is a violation of their First Amendment Rights. (I have a feeling this will happen to me as well, but I do not care since I am now apart of Weasyl and so is some of my army. (I call my friends/team/family my army since I have like over 300 of them on here. XD)

Again, give us an honest answer. I am sure if you do, this would all end since most of us are not upset about the price jump. We are just upset about it happening over night and without any warning and that you basically tried to make your automatic paid members go broke/overdrawn/have no money to support themselves by taking out the new amount on them without any warning and giving them the option to op out. As it was, I went and deleted all my debit card information to keep you from automatically taking it out on me since I really cannot afford it now.

Well, I do not know if the staff will still listen to me, but I hope this journal is of some help to you fellow deviants. No matter what, do not ever stop fighting for what you believe in. Even if it means getting suspend to silences you for a time being or if your friends get suspend for fighting in what they believe in. We are the minority and they want to make us the majority. Remember that. Later.
